Appearance: The first things you notice about Elliot are his bright blue hair and matching eyes. The teenager is always dressed in his uniform - a dark blue shirt over a lighter blue undershirt with yellow trim and green pants ending a bit under his knees with matching green socks and dark blue shoes. He tends to walk with confidence in his steps, something that’s rather unusual in a boy of his age. He has rather light skin, is pretty fit since he plays basket whenever he can, and always looks ready to smile. He is a bit tall for his age, mostly due to his long legs (though the pants makes that less obvious).
Personality: While he makes sure to work very hard in school and takes his basketball training very seriously, Elliot is still a very happy-go-lucky kind of person when it comes to everything else in life. This, along with his ability to keep his cool in most situations and his natural leadership, is what has made him popular among his classmates. Whenever he feels shame or anger he will hide it behind a poker face until he is alone – and even then the most reaction you will see from him is gritted teeth and a fist slammed into a wall. The only thing that can make him lose his cool is if any of his friends’ lives are threatened.
Even before the events in the realms of Nightopia and Nightmare there were few things that could scare him. Now, after having faced the very God of Nightmares himself, Elliot considers himself fearless – which has and will make him reckless. It doesn’t help that he is very stubborn as well, standing by what he believes even if he’s proved wrong. Don’t be surprised if he starts smart-mouthing with any of the more fearsome people in Paixao.
He doesn’t like lying, even when it’s just a small white one. Instead he will either change the subject, refuse to talk about it, or just tell bits of the truth. An example occurred when Claris asked him about how NiGHTS got captured before the battle against Wizeman. Elliot told her Reala had captured NiGHTS, but excluded the parts about how s/he had gotten deep cuts and screamed in pain.
Abilities/Weaponry/Strengths: Since he have all of the five Ideya – Purity, Hope, Intelligence, Maturity and Bravery – Elliot is able to manipulate his dreams to do things like flying or shift to another dreamscape. This doesn’t extend to the real world, with one exception – when under stress, he’s temporary able to fly for about three minutes. After that, he’s unable to fly for several minutes, if at all.
Growing up and living in a calm part of Twin Seeds means that Elliot has never needed to use any weapons to defend himself, so he has no skills when it comes to guns or knives. Because of all his training in basketball, however, Elliot is very athletic and has developed quick reflexes and dodging skills.
Dualizing with NiGHTS allows him to borrow most of hir abilities, including flying, Paralooping, and Drilldashing.
Weaknesses: His stubbornness and lack of fear means Elliot will often bite off more than he can chew. He won’t hesitate to confront anyone even if it means he’ll get into trouble for it, and he won’t run away if any monsters appears but rather attack them – even when it’s obvious he can’t defeat them.
After flying or being Dualized with NiGHTS Elliot gets disoriented and dizzy, making him an easy target if he doesn’t get himself to safety beforehand. Aside from the battles against Nightmare and Wizeman he has no experience with fighting, making him a hindrance in battles – especially when coupled with above mentioned stubbornness.
Elliot doesn’t open up easily to people even when they are his close friends (the exception being NiGHTS who doesn’t get what “personal space” is). He’d rather hide whatever negative feelings he have, since he doesn’t like the thought of others being burdened by him.

This lead to Elliot not seeing his father so much, leading him to feel he should take over the part of “man of the house” to help his mother. Understandably, he couldn’t do it, especially since he was so little, but his mother was still grateful and tried to assure him she was alright. Elliot wouldn’t quite believe her, but realized there wasn’t much he could do right now. Instead he worked as hard as he could on the chores she did give him and also did his best in school. Once he discovered he liked basketball, he threw himself into that as well.
This led to him developing his considerable inner talent at the sport and getting good grades, which earned him a lot of respect from his peers and teachers. Elliot found himself enjoying the attention, even gaining a few close friends, and for a while everything was fine. With respect and attention, however, comes jealousy, which is what Elliot discovered one day when playing basketball with his friends. Older boys from another school came apparently from nowhere and easily outmaneuvered him, making him look like a fool in front of his friends. Feeling like he had lost all respect he returned home, ripped off the NBA poster from his wall, threw the ball into the bin, and went to sleep. In his dreams the humiliating event repeated, only this time the other team transformed into horrible monsters. Elliot fled, running blindly until he saw a light and hear a voice calling to him…
Entering the light, he found himself face to face with a strange, jester-like creature trapped inside a strange shrine. He soon learned the creature’s name was NiGHTS and that he was a prisoner, locked away by Wizeman the Wicked for opposing him. NiGHTS begged Elliot to free him, which he did since he felt sorry for him. As a token for how thankful he was, NiGHTS Dualized with Elliot and took to the air, twirling and laughing all the way. Elliot had never felt so free in his life, and he enjoyed this feeling to the point of wanting to defeat Wizeman, but ignored NiGHTS when he tried to tell him about another dreamer. He did pay attention, however, when NiGHTS explained about Wizeman, the five Ideya and how each dream reflected Elliot's thoughts and subconscious.
As they traveled through each of Elliot’s dreams and battled the various Nightmarens, Elliot learned more about himself in one night than most people do in a lifetime – how protective he was about his mother so she wouldn’t get hurt again, his happy memories of her in the winter, his wish to see her reunited with his father and the realization that it would never happen, his insecurities and fears… and with it, his bravery. By the time they fought against Reala, the almost-twin and opposite of NiGHTS, he felt like nothing could stop them. He was soon proven wrong when NiGHTS was forced to separate them so Elliot could save himself from the brutal, sadistic Reala. Despite the boy's best efforts, he couldn’t stop Reala from capturing NiGHTS, and the next time he woke up in the dream world he found himself all alone.
But not quite. He could feel the presence of another person, someone so very much like him. While he couldn’t quite see them, he started to follow the presence until he saw NiGHTS – once again locked in a shrine. When he tried to approached him he felt himself thrown away by Wizeman himself. Tossed miles onto a small island floating in the air, Elliot felt completely hopeless, but with the realization that he couldn’t give up now when he was so close to NiGHTS, he jumped off the island and started to fly. In what felt like no time he reached the shrine together with the girl - Claris - whose presence he had felt earlier. They freed NiGHTS, but they still had once last challenge – Wizeman the Wicked himself. After a long battle against the very forces of nature the god commanded, they were finally able to defeat him and in a flash of light, Elliot found himself alone with the girl, who had been knocked unconscious, in the middle of a field. He carried her to a shade so she could wake up, but just as the girl did so he disappeared.
Elliot woke up in his bed, confused as to what happened but with a strong feeling that it was not just a dream. Seeing how he was able to defeat the God of Nightmares, he decided he would face those older boys and regain his respect. As he called his friends and asked them to play with him, he realized he still had it... but he was still determined to no longer let himself be humiliated. As they arrived to the courtyard, he simply nodded to his friends before running in. Afterwards he wasn’t sure what felt better – the feeling of almost flying as he ran past the last opponent and scored, or said opponent congratulating him for that goal. When he parted from his friends he saw a vision of NiGHTS, beckoning Elliot to a theater. Elliot entered it… and saw the girl from his dreams, practicing her song on stage. Feeling as if he was dreaming again, he ran up to her, only to realize that the events, despite taking place in the realm of dreams, had truly happened when the girl, Claris, opened her eyes in the midst of her song and smiled at him.
A few weeks after that Elliot went to bed to visit Nightopia in his dreams... Instead he ended up in Paixao.
